What do you mean by "First Year Breeding Guarantee?"

All bulls sold in the sale are backed by our guarantee - the period from sale date to October 1, 2021, unconditional guarantee with the exception of loss resulting from mismanagement. Bull will be replaced if a suitable replacement is available. If not, credit will be given on next year’s sale for purchase price less any salvage received by owner. If you neglect the bull, we do not see that as our fault. If one of our bulls is injured during the critical breeding season, we feel the need to replace him. You bought a bull to breed cows - an injured bull does not do that.

Why don't you have straw in the pen for your bull videos and pictures?

This is something that honestly started by accident - one year we set up the video pen out in the gravel yard (for lack of an available pen) and pictured and videoed without the help of straw. Our crew really liked it - not having to walk the bulls around while trudging through a foot of straw. Even better, our customers loved being able to see the bulls' feet, and truly see the bulls for who they are; we aren't in the Photoshop business. Covering up the bottom third of the animal with pretty, shiny straw does make for nicer pictures. It also is a great tool for hiding imperfections. We'd rather let you take a good look ahead of time to determine the best bull for your needs.

I live quite a ways away from Wyoming - more than your 250 miles delivery range. How do I arrange delivery of my purchase?

We have sent bulls all over the country. In many cases we have delivered the bull all the way to the buyer, with the remaining distance beyond 250 miles charged at cost to the buyer. Other times we have met the buyer halfway and called it even (depending on the dollar amount of the purchase). Please note that spring is a busy time for us, and we try to coordinate deliveries along a general direction/route.

I can run the internet, but I've never bid online before. What other options do I have?  

DVAuction.com is the best, most user-friendly online bidding platform available. Once you are signed up it is amazing how easy it is. The screen shows what dollar number the bid is at, and all you have to do is click to place your bid at that price. We encourage you to act with intent, though, as the sale generally moves along quickly and we don't want you to miss out.

 

If you don't want to bid online, no worries. Feel free to call ahead of time to place an order on any lot. We will bid up to your amount as if it were our own money, not just "run the bid up" to your amount and tell you that's what the bull sold for. You may also call us or one of our representatives and bid over the phone during the sale in real time.
